In the good old days your real estate agent would take you on a tour to look at houses in your area listed for sale. These days most buyers start with a search on one of many large internet listing sites.
Do you need a real estate agent to buy a home? Well this depends on who you ask. It certainly is common. You could represent yourself to buy a home, or you could work with an agent you know, or an agent you don't know, or with an attorney.
Buying a home is one of the largest purchases/investments you will ever make. At a minimum I suggest that you obtain advice and assistance for a skilled experienced professional.
My guess is many transactions take place without an attorney involved until there is a problem. However, having an attorney and or CPA involved from the beginning might be prudent.
I have over 30 years experience in the real estate industry. I have witnessed many changes. If you do a bit of research you will find there were some major lawsuit/settlements in 2024. As a result the business will work slightly differently.
I began working as a buyer's agent before the agency disclosure form was invited. I am pretty sure of that. And as a buyer's agent, I am your advocate.
Call me to discuss representation and services I can offer to assist you.
